Narrow back streets can be disorienting with a surprise around every corner.

Grünehaus. The English version of the website says: "Keeping present residential structures, the developed architecture is to sustain the well-being of the inhabitants, express their desires and encourage a conscious cohabitation.." Your guess is as good as mine - but it's pretty.

Jewish life is returning - an ad for a Jewish song festival
The Fernsehturm dominates Alexanderplatz former centre for the DDR government buildings and embassies built in a dour Stalinist architecture. One of the largest structures in Europe.
