Yetta Yakobowicz

My maternal grandmother.

Family name Yakobowicz

Arrived in England with her aunt (it is not known whether this was her father or her mother's sister, probably the latter.). Lived as a skivvy for her aunt for a couple of years before moving in with Mr and Mrs Cook, her future in-laws.

Left their house probably when my father was born and went to live with Mrs 'Isaacs'.

Introduced to Sam Phillips by Celia Landsberger.
